This series of infographic posters redesigns three classic movie posters to address the serious issue of misrepresentation in the film industry. I adapted the visual language of each film poster to visualize the discrepancies in cultural inclusivity revealed in a study released by the USC Annenberg School. In this study researchers examined over 11,000 speaking characters in tv and film and were able to break down the percentage of minority groups in major roles and compare the data to census breakdowns of the actual US population. Their findings revealed that minority groups are drastically under represented in the mainstream media comparative to their proportional presence in the american population. To help call attention to this issue I included a call to action using a hashtag.
